Who the hell are these kids and why are they calling me Mommy!
Come on you know you have been there too.

Tooth brush

What do you think does this look like a tooth brush to you? That is what Aiden Thinks. I'm not so sure I would brush my teeth with that!

Water Park

We met another family at the park to let the kids play in the water park together for part of the day. It was fun the kids really got a kick out of having friends along. Aiden & David were wild men. It was not sunny so you did get cold but it did not dampen the heart of the true water lover. Mom did go in the water but forbid me from posting the photo. The kids loved the lazy river or the “maze” as they called it.

Enchanted Forest day one

A place I went to as a kid. Enchanted Forest in Old Forge NY, On Thursday night we went in and checked out all the “dry” rides. If you did not know you can get in after 3pm with a full day ticket for the next day. The story book village and the rides we just about all they had back in the day. The sky ride was a hit with the kids, they rode with Grandma, Grandpa and David, and hold your breath Rob and I (with Regan in the sling) alone with nothing to do but talk for 10 minutes it was wonderful.

bali baby

I love this photo of Regan. This hat is made my Bali Baby I bought it in Portland Maine at Butterfly Baby. This hat is great as it stays on the head with out a strap and the wide brim keeps the sun out. As well I nursed her with the hat on and it covered all the goods. This store is full of all natural items for your baby up to child. They also had Maya Wraps as well. That is what she is riding in. She is looking down at the waves. So peaceful looking.

Smirkus

The circus…Circus Smirkus is not your normal circus. This is a great show, No animals. For over 2 hours kids entertain you with the “acts” they have learned it is amazing. I was talking with one mom who’s child is in Smirkus and she was just thrilled for her daughter. While waiting we had the kids painted with what ever they wanted great time killer. Regan was awake the whole show, she did take a snack break what would the Circus be with our eating. Regan was just so good that this event.

Discover the power of play at the Children’s Museum of Maine. We did just that. They had a huge fire truck, a lobster boat, Face painting, crafts, a water feature, tree house, space ship there was just a ton of stuff. The kids had a blast but how could they not. Regan slept the whole time in the sling she was loving the dual rumble of the kids playing to give her back ground noise to sleep.

Train on the brain

We traveled in to Portland to visit a railroad that it’s tracks are only 2 feet wide. We went for ride on the Narrow Gauge Railroad. A little history…These 2-foot gauge steam trains connected rural Maine with the rest of the world from 1879 until just before World War II. The reign of the 2-footers thundering through Maine’s countryside lasted until the dawning of the modern era of paved roads, trucks, and private automobiles.
This ride had some good views looking out one side was green vegetation and sea shore building and beautiful cost line on the other…although all the kids enjoyed themselves this was right up Aiden’s ally, You can see it in his face. Each of them had a million questions about the RR OR LIFE IN GENERAL as small talk was a hit with the girls. Of course in true breastfed baby style she got to eat aboard as well. This was one of the 50 Things to do in Maine with your kids before they grow up. We can check this off our list.

Blast from the past

Take a step back in time when you walk in the Happy Wheels Skate Center. We are in Maine and it is gloomy day. We went to Pizza Hut for lunch and then to Roller Skate, that is right Roller Skate “talk about a blast from the past”. As a kid I was a great skater not the limbo queen but I held my own. The kids did well, Happy Wheels has a small practice rink and the large rink. Much to my surprise the place was packed. After an hour and a half the moms had ankles that were killing I guess they are not what they use to be. Aiden made it around finally the large ring once by him self with Daddy slow and steady. Sheriden was frustrated so she hung out with Regan on the circler red rug covered bench. The parents were ready for naps but not the kids!

Boating

First trip out on the boat. We had a great time the kids have been wanting to take the boat out. It went well everyone made it back to shore the boat made it on the trailer but it seems we have a problem we getting the motor up to drive down the road. So after we get that fix we will be back out there.

Grooming

This was great. The kids decided that they were going to “groom” grandpa (maybe they have been watching to much Clifford). They were busy running from the bathroom to the front porch. I think dad’s hair stood up for day’s with the amount of spray gel that they put on him.

Good ol lunch box

What kind of lunch box should you pick? Well I have been stressing over Aiden eating at school as he eats nothing. We (3 kids and I) were taking a casual shopping trip through Wegmans and seen this neat product. When we got home I have to get right on line to learn more. Laptop Lunch is “cool looking” that is what Aiden said.

Trash Talk…Did you know that the average school-aged child using a disposable lunch generates 67 pound of waste per year. That is 18,760 pounds of lunch waste for just one average size elementary school. A disposable lunch what is that? It is a lunch brought in a reusable lunchbox, and or disposable paper and plastic bags. These such lunches contain, foods sealed in plastic bags or single-use packages such as yogurt, disposable juice boxes, water bottles and milk cartons, Plastic forks and spoons and paper napkins. Now you can see how the trash piles up.

This product is made by moms (awesome). You can save money by buying in larger packages and not so many plasice bags. We used these in the car over the weekend and they (of course Sheriden got one as well) could eat as much as they wanted and close it up and save the rest for later. I’m looking forward to sending lunches to school for Aiden that he will eat and I hope to teach him a little more about Nutrition.
